Representing North Merthyr is commissioning Forge Films to create a film, based on some of our activities, on the issue of ‘representation’. The film will include footage of arts workshops, interviews, performances and a banner march. It will also look critically at film as a form of representation. Forge Films is Richard Davies and Nicola Ebdon who also teach at Merthyr College and who are responsible for a number of community-led and participatory films including Terracotta Palace on the transformation of the Old Town Hall into Redhouse in Merthyr. We will be putting the new film on Youtube but will also hold screenings in Merthyr and Cardiff. Watch this space for more information!
